According to the latest Barside Buzz, Severance star Tramell Tillman is wanted for a small role in the MCU, a Kang recast. According to insider Jeff Sneider, he’s heard the plan is to bring Kang back, but only briefly. Fans have long theorised that if Kang did return without Majors, it would be to get killed by Doom. Thereby, showing Doom to be a far greater threat than Kang was and setting the stakes higher.
Sneider says he’s heard the plan is to bring back Kang just to close off that thread. He does say he thinks to be killed off by Doom. He’s also heard Marvel really wants Severance star Tramell Tillman for the part. I have to say, if this is true, then I love it.
Tillman is phenomenal and anyone who reads my Severance S2 reviews knows how much I think of him. This would be a huge role to get Tillman’s name out there to a bigger audience. Even if just a small part in Doomsday, the nature of Kang always means there’s a chance he could show back up one day. Well, unless they make clear in Doomsday that Doom has killed every single one of them?

The point is, I like it because simply ignoring Kang at this point would be just weird. It seems a much better idea that we see Doom winning his war against the Kang’s. It’s a great set up to him being the main threat of Doomsday and Secret Wars.
