Twisters is certainly one of the most fun films to watch this summer on the big screen. With such an ensemble cast, every actor reveals their chemistry on and off screen, as revealed by Brandon Perea.

The film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones (Where the Crawdads Sing, Normal People), Anthony Ramos (In the Heights), and Glen Powell (Anyone But You, Top Gun: Maverick) as the storm chasers competing to the center of the destruction. The rest of the cast includes Brandon Perea (Nope), Sasha Lane (American Honey), Daryl McCormack (Peaky Blinders), Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Nik Dodani (Atypical), and Maura Tierney (Beautiful Boy).

Here is the full synopsis for Twisters:

Daisy Edgar-Jones stars as Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City. She is lured back to the open plains by her friend, Javi (Anthony Ramos) to test a groundbreaking new tracking system. There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Powell), the charming and reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew, the more dangerous the better.

As storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed, and Kate, Tyler, and their competing teams find themselves squarely in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma in the fight of their lives.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with actor Brandon Perea about his experience, research, and character in the film.

Brandon Perea is best known as Alfonso “French” Sosa on the series The OA and his role in Jordan Peele’s Nope. He started as off as a jam skater, combining the talents of both disco-style skating on the roller rinks and modern breakdance. In 2012, he made his first appearance on the Nickelodeon show Figure It Out and competed on America’s Got Talent with his jam skating crew.

Twisters is currently in theaters today and now available digitally for home theater.
