Two Kevin Feige Produced Sony Marvel Movies Listed For 2023? | Barside Buzz

According to the latest Barside Buzz, Marvel and Sony look set for a new deal to see Spider-Man stay in the MCU.

According to the reliable Production Weekly, there are two Kevin Feige produced Sony Marvel movies penciled in for a 2023 release in 2023. The latest issue of the monthly publication has two movies listed as Untitled Sony/Marvel Universe. However both have Kevin Feige listed as producer. Feige does not produce on Sony’s Spider-Man Universe movies, sit appears these are both movies being made by Marvel Studios.

Whilst we have no clues to what these movies are they are listed as being released on June 23rd. 2023, and October 8, 2023 respectively. Given the post-credit stinger of Venom: Let There Be Carnage and the rumored stinger for Spider-Man: No Way Home, you’d have to guess at a Venom Vs Spider-Man story. Now, I really don’t want to see this version of Venom in the MCU, but we don’t always get what we want. The only saving grace to all this is that it’s Marvel and not Sony making them.

To add to this, one must assume that Sony and Disney have agreed to re-up their fruitful relationship? Given comments that Feige made in the latest issue of Empire (released today) that would not surprise me. Talking about the Sony/Marvel split in 2019 Feige said the following.

“I was mentally preparing to emotionally separate from it. I didn’t love it, but it is what it is. And then, thankfully, it came back together.” He added: “I don’t anticipate us going through that emotional rollercoaster, or putting fans through that emotional rollercoaster, again.”

Strange wording to say he doesn’t anticipate having to put fans through that again. Surely that would add weight to the fact that a deal has been struck for more movies? The only other Sony Spider-Man movie with solid rumors/casting right now is Kraven the Hunter. What if the new deal means that Sony allows Marvel Studios to actually make all Sony’s Marvel movies? That would be a huge win for all fans I feel. Though, I’m not getting carried away jus yet. Let’s wait and see what comes out of all of this in the future. However this could mean we get to see Holland’s Spider-Man stay around for a long time yet.

What do you think about there being two Kevin Feige produced Sony Marvel movies scheduled for 2023? As always, leave any thoughts below.
