It seems like every streaming service has a hero team or two. Titans, Doom Patrol, Runaways and The Tick all headline their respective services. Netflix once led this arms race, but they recently, and unceremoniously, took several of their series out back and put bullets in them. If the demise of the Marvel/Netflix Universe got you down, dry those tears, little streamer. Netflix has renewed Umbrella Academy for Season 2. Generally well-received, the show currently has a Metascore of 62 and a user score of 7.2.

Based on the Dark Horse comic series of the same name, Umbrella Academy was created and written by Gerard Way with illustrations by Gabriel Bá. Production of Season 2 is expected to begin this summer with the core cast slated to return for a 10-episode run. No further details are known. However, if you’re somehow unfamiliar with the basic core concept of the show, here’s a basic premise.

“Years after they rose to fame as young crime-fighting superheroes, the estranged Hargreeves siblings come together to mark their father’s death.”
