According to insider Daniel Richtman, the Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer will hit sometime today! Now if there is one thing that Richtman has a great record on, it is trailer drops, especially where Sony are concerned. Remember it was Richtman who told everyone the Spider-Man: No Way Home title reveal was coming, even if Sony kinda teased us on times. Check out Richtman’s not so cryptic social media post below.

Now there has been no hint of what time to expect this trailer drop so far. Therefore it’s possible the trailer could hit either just after or even before I publish this story. So keep an eye out for a Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer showing up on your feeds today.

Having refused to watch Venom, and having little interest in this sequel, I’m hardly excited for the trailer. However, I am intrigued, and that’s because of rumors that we will see Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in the trailer. I’ve heard unsubstantiated rumors that Holland could show up in the trailer. This has been likened to how we saw Michael Keaton’s Toomes show up in the Morbius trailer. However, as yet I cannot find any source for these rumors that actually checks out, so it may just be fan speculation.

Again we fans could be asking the question of what the status is between the VenomVerse and the MCU? Are we just to assume that these movies are all set within the same Universe now. Or, is there two versions of characters like Toomes? This is all a bit of a mind trip, and I wish we would get some kind of clarification. If Holland does appear in the Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer, and there is no word on why, Ima be pissed. Though right now I have to say that seems unlikely and I do NOT expect to see Holland anywhere near this trailer when it hits.

If Venom is in the MCU I would begin to take it seriously. However I’d also be lamenting the fact his origin story will never fully work the way it’s supposed to. I’m not keen on Sony making their own movies and just calling them MCU films. But, here we are, potentially anyway.
