This fall is about Verity, a new psychological thriller based on a best seller novel of the same title written by Colleen Hoover. Anne Hathaway paused the fashion life to play “Verity.” While sharing the screen with another power house, Dakota Johnson and actor John Hartnett.   

They Synopsis 

The film follows renowned author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway, “The Devil Wears Prada 2”) and Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson, “Fifty Shades of Grey”), a struggling writer who relocates to the remote Crawford estate to ghostwrite for Verity. After Lowen uncovers what appears to be Verity’s chilling autobiographical notes, she wrestles with the disturbing and twisted confessions about Verity’s husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett, “Lucky Number Slevin”), and finds it hard to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession.

Nick Antosca (Channel Zero) wrote the Verity screenplay while the film was directed by Michael Showalter (The Idea of You). The rest of the cast is composed by Ismael Cruz Cordova and Brady Wagner.

Verity will be in theaters October 2, 2026
