Ever since Paul Walker died, fans have felt that the FAST & FURIOUS franchise’s days were numbered. Some felt it should’ve ended with FURIOUS 7 when Walker’s Brian O’Conner rode off into the sunset. But no, it was eventually announced that Vin Diesel and Universal Pictures were planning not just another film, but another trilogy of films to wrap up the series.
Well, we already know that FAST 8 is preparing to film later this year, with its sights set on an April 14, 2017 bow, and now we know when the other 2/3s of this trilogy are coming.
Courtesy of Diesel himself, who’s become well known for using his social media accounts to make big reveals, we’ve got the following:

So there you have it, folks. The final two entries of this once-thought-dead franchise will come out on April 9, 2019 and April 10, 2021. Who would’ve thunk it, eh? A series that began as a fairly blatant ripoff of POINT BREAK, then lost its biggest star for the sequel, and then seemed to be heading for straight-to-DVD obscurity with a film that starred neither Diesel or Walker (TOKYO DRIFT), somehow rose up from the ashes and became one of the biggest franchises in Hollywood. The man credited with turning the series around, Justin Lin, is now hoping to do the same for the rebooted STAR TREK films.
You pumped for this Final Act for FAST & FURIOUS, told in three parts?
