Next year, DC will unveil the film that it hopes will launch a thousand ships. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will feature the company’s two largest draws coming face to face and, ultimately, opening up their cinematic universe to a host of new superhero films like Justice League, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, & Cyborg. There’s a lot riding on the film, and so it had to have an agreeable MPAA rating- one that would allow for both kids and adults to get the kinds of thrills they’d expect from a film titled Batman v Superman.
To the surprise of, well, no one, the film has officially garnered a PG-13 rating. The description for why it’s attained this rating is as follows:
“Intense Sequences Of Violence And Action Throughout, and Some Sensuality”
Sounds like fun.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill as the titular heroes, opens on March 25, 2016.
