Viz Media’s Latinx-Centric Animated Series Seis Manos To Debut On Netflix

This past San Diego Comic-Con, I had a peek at a new animated series called Seis Manos. This production comes courtesy of anime and manga publisher Viz Media and Netflix. It was created, developed, and produced by Castlevania’s Powerhouse Animation, and you can definitely see some of those similarities in the animation style and its overall adult tone.

This six-episode series will premiere on Netflix on October 3, 2019, so we have less than a month until you can binge the whole thing. Be sure to check out the opening sequence (above) and the action clip we saw at SDCC earlier this year (below).

Below is the official synopsis for Seis Manos:

“Set in Mexico in the 1970’s era, SEIS MANOS centers on three orphaned martial arts warriors who join forces with a DEA agent and a Mexican Federale to battle for justice after their beloved mentor is murdered on the streets of their tiny border town. The series is a gritty, mature themed action drama that has some relevant themes amid todays ongoing Narco war along the border.”

Seis Manos hits Netflix on October 3, 2019.
