In celebration of hispanic heritage month Amazon brings VOICES/VOCES. Several Latin voices are scheduled to discuss the richness in Latin culture.
The Synopsis
Amazon Studios announced VOICES/VOCES: An Entertainment Celebration for Hispanic Heritage Month, a one-day virtual event celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and highlighting the many contributions to entertainment from the Latiné community. The event will take place on September 30, 2021 and will include multiple group panels and a set from Puerto Rican comedian Gina Brillion celebrating the richness, diversity and beauty of Latiné communities, and conversations that will dive deep into Latiné representation in film and media over time, as well as celebrate the changing narratives and what is to come. The event will be available to stream on Amazon Live and Amazon Studios DEI Twitch.
John Laguzamo will be the second speaker talking about who Hispanics are. Followed by some of the top Amazon executives from Spanish speaking Latin America at Amazon studios. They will speak about original contents in the US and international borders. A space will be made for the politician Juaquin Castro. Castro was a congressman from the state of Texas from 2003-2013.

To continue discussing the impact Latinos have made in the entertainment industry guest speakers like Gloria Calderón-Kellett (producer and writer) and actor Laz Alonso (actor, “The Boys”) will join. By the end of the day, the Puerto Rican comedian Gina Brillon will be making an appearance.
