Supernatural has been on the air for roughly 73 seasons of TV, and after all those years of content, with the show coming to an end, leads Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki will finally have free schedules to take on all-new projects. Now, it sounds like Padalecki has his next big show lined up, and it marks the return of a familiar Chuck Norris-looking figure.
According to Deadline, Walker, Texas Ranger is coming back. The outlet reports that the reboot of the ‘90s action/crime series is written and executive produced by Valor’s Anna Fricke and executive produced by Lethal Weapon’s Dan Lin. Padalecki will also serve as executive producer.

Walker, Texas Ranger will be a straight-up reboot, meaning it will not be a series that takes place decades after the events of the original. Padalecki will be playing an updated version of Chuck Norris’ character. The show is being shopped by CBS TV Studios and it sounds like The CW could be the network to pick it up, but CBS is also a possibility.
