Today we have a rumor that WandaVision has finished filming, but could still be delayed because of Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Read on for more details.
The MCU as a whole is currently in a state of delay. Black Widow slipped to November on the theatrical side, pushing all the other MCU movies down by one. However, there has been no official delay for the Disney+ MCU content, yet. That’s probably because there were no definite dates for the MCU shows to appear on the streaming platform. Though, surely current events will see that Disney+ content delayed as well?
It is thought that Falcon and The Winter Soldier was supposed to be the first MCU show to appear on Disney+, followed by WandaVision. However, a new report claims that whilst filming has actually been completed on WandaVision, it might still get delayed. The reason for this delay is because WandaVision comes after Falcon and The Winter Soldier, chronologically, and the latter show has not completed filming. The report comes from Murphy’s Multiverse, and they say that WandaVision is now in the editing phase. Whereas, we know that Falcon and The Winter Soldier has between 2-4 weeks of filming left to complete, give or take.

Falcon and The Winter Soldier should resume shooting again soon, as the Czech Republic has opened up for filming once more. However, due to the delays already accrued, it seems F&TWS is currently quite behind WandaVision in terms of completion. The likely scenario seems to be that WandaVision will be held back in a completed state until F&TWS is ready. Therefore, it seems unlikely that WandaVison will make 2020 as originally planned. That’s only my opinion, not a fact and I could be still be wrong. Disney could choose to release the shows closely together, but that seems unlikely. I’ll guess that maybe Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be the only show to hit Disney+ this calendar year. Time will tell, and I assume we will find out more in the coming months.
