WandaVision introduced us to one of the more interesting villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I am of course speaking of the witch Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn.
Needless to say, Hahn had a great time playing Agatha, and she’d be game to return as the witch.
During a pre-show Q&A at the MTV Movie and TV Awards, the actor was asked about the possibility of working with Elizabeth Olsen again in the MCU:
Yes… I would love for them to be together again. Who knows? They run a tight ship. I’ve heard nothing.
The dynamic that our director [Matt Shakman] kind of put in our head was like [Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri]. Which I don’t know if you guys know that reference but Amadeus is a great movie from back in the day. And that’s kind of what our relationship was. Like, I wanted her power, but I also wanted to befriend her, I wanted to teach her, I wanted to learn from her, I wanted…all of it.

It would be a huge shame if we don’t see Agatha again in the MCU in some form. Lately, Marvel has been careful not to kill all its villains, as it realizes they can be useful again in future storylines.
Though there is not expected to be a second season of WandaVision, there are many ways Agatha could be used in the future of the MCU. She could be a more helpful mentor to Wanda. She could be freed from her mind to join Val’s team of anti-heroes and villains. In the comics, she even baby sat for Reed Richards and Sue Storm’s kids. (I very much doubt we will see that last one become a reality.)
In the meantime, Kathryn Hahn has one of the most coveted franchises in Hollywood to work on, as last week she was announced as yet another cast member in Knives Out 2.
