In a bit of goofy viral marketing for next year’s Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds took to his YouTube page to release this video. It shows Reynolds, in character as the Merc With A Mouth, behaving badly with a group of innocent children in their Halloween costumes. Along the way, he pokes fun at his X-Men comrades, mocks Green Lantern, and references his unfortunate appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Have a look:
Deadpool has quietly become #1 on the Must See lists for many fans, despite coming out in a crowded year that’s going to include other comic book films like Batman v Superman, Captain America: Civil War, Suicide Squad, and Doctor Strange. It’s definitely going to be a very different animal, with a hard R-rating, a more gritty, low budget look, and a meta style of storytelling that may very well turn the superhero genre on its head.
Deadpool is set to come out on February 12, 2016.
