Want A Poster Of Christopher Nolan’s New Film? We Have It! Wanna Know What It’s About? Too Bad! Plus, Teaser Description

You gotta love movie posters. While they are used to sell movies, they certainly are an art form in and of themselves. In many ways, they need to get the tone of the film along with some minor story aspects — enough to sell potential audiences on the concept. This is especially true in films that don’t have A-list stars to sell it. In those instances, throwing a handful of heads on it won’t count. And then you have Tenet.

In case you haven’t heard, that’s the name of director Christopher Nolan’s next movie. There have been little to no details drop about the movie, and given that it’s a Nolan joint, you know he’s going to want to leave a lot of the details for the movie itself.

As such, even when we have the movie poster…there isn’t much to work with here. Seriously, look at this s**t.

That sure is a sweet-ass…font…I guess. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the confidence the studio has in a director-centric picture and all, but I’d like to get SOMETHING here. I guess we can read into the upside-down T as well as the palindrome nature of the title and assume it has something to do with…mirror worlds?

Luckily, if you managed to check out Hobbs & Shaw last night (I have my tickets for tonight), you got an extra teaser. THR has a description, and here’s how it reads.

“The roughly minute-long first look at Tenet opens on a bullet hole that’s punched through some glass. Behind the glass stands John David Washington’s character. The teaser slam cuts to the words, ‘Time has come for a new protagonist.’ Washington’s character walks up to examine the glass. The camera tracks him as he moves to the side, revealing more cracks in the glass…The teaser then slam cuts to the words, ‘Time has come for a new kind of mission.’ Then, it reenters on people dressed as swat team members, or perhaps members kind of special operative unit. Quick cuts of Washington in action flash, before the teaser holds on a shot of Washington, with an oxygen mask over his mouth as he slowly breathes. Beneath the trailer is a pulsing, almost wobbling score, with the bass particularly powerful.”

So what’s it about?
