‘WATCHMEN’ Star To Join ‘ALIEN: COVENANT’?

Ordinarily, when you’re making the ninth film in a series that began as a sci-fi horror movie you’re not able to get major stars to appear in it. But when that film is ALIEN: COVENANT, and the director is Ridley Scott– the visionary that started it all- things play out under a completely different set of rules. The cast for Scott’s movie already includes names like Michael Fassbender, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, and Katherine Waterston. Now, according to a new report, another notable name could be ready to climb aboard.

Deadline is reporting that Billy Crudup, star of such films as ALMOST FAMOUS, BIG FISH, and WATCHMEN, is eyeing a key role in ALIEN: COVENANT. While the specifics of the role are presently unknown, what is known is that the actor is in advanced negotiations, so it’s practically a lock that he’ll be a part of the proceedings.

ALIEN: COVENANT is slated to come out on October 6, 2017.
