For decades now the Addams family has shown us how normal being different can be. The last time we saw the Addams was in the feature animated film. But it looks like they are going to be coming back to live-action with the daughter Wednesday front and center. Back in October, we had started to hear rumblings about a new Addams series that was in the works by Tim Burton.
Then in February, we learned that that series being developed by Burton was going to be exclusive to Netflix. He would serve as director and executive producer. The live-action series will consist of eight episodes. As mentioned before it will focus on Wednesday Addams. Netflix has recently announced the casting choice for the lead actress.

As you can see from the post above, Wednesday Addams will be played by Jenna Ortega. She will be portraying a character that has been portrayed in television, film, video games, and even musicals.
Along with Burton as executive producers and also serving as showrunners are Al Gough and Miles Millar. Also serving as executive producers are Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman for 1.21, Kevin Miserocchi, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman for Glickmania, and Gail Berman.

Here is the logline for Netflix’s Wednesday
The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
I love the Addams family. So having more stories with the family, specifically, Wednesday is exciting! To make it even better it’s coming from the mind of Tim Burton. What do you think of the casting choice? Let us know in the comments down below!
