A weekend roundup of all the Spider-Man: Brand New Day news including the new suit, Hulk and Scorpion confirmed, plus some new rumors. Let’s start with an official reveal of Tom Holland in his new Spidey suit.
Check it out below, you’ll see it’s much more comic accurate, which is pleasing to fans.
Here’s a static image taken on the set, where filming continued this weekend in Glasgow.

Additionally, THR has confirmed both Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Michael Mando as Scorpion. Check it out,
‘Mark Ruffalo is returning to reprise the role of Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, in the feature, which comes 14 years after the actor joined the MCU in The Avengers. The move had been rumored for a while but only firmed up as the script came together and as production gears up for beginning this month in England.’
‘At the same time, Michael Mando, known for his work on Better Call Saul, is returning to reprise the role of the Scorpion, the villain character whom he first played in Spider-Man: Homecoming, the 2017 feature that kicked off the Holland-centric Spider-Man movies.’
We also have Mando teasing that he will wear a comic accurate costume, maybe.
Below is the toy image Mando posted Sunday.

Finally, some rumors.
Daniel RPK claims additional villains will include as follows.
“Some of the villains in Spider-Man Brand New Day are Tombstone, Tarantula, Boomerang, Scorpion and…Ramrod, who’s a half cyborg.”
Scorpion has since been confirmed and we’ve heard rumors of Boomerang and Tarantula already, Ramrod is new though.
Additionally, Daniel claims this is how Punisher and Spider-Man will come up against one another in the film initially. The scene being filmed this week will involve Frank chasing down Scorpion in an armoured vehicle to dispense his kind of justice. Spidey then prevents him from killing Scorpion, which causes those two to come into conflict.
Set photos have proved that Spider-Man lands on top of an armoured vehicle being driven by Frank. For what it’s worth therefore, this seems legit.
Edit – As I wrote the rest of this Sunday night: Today’s filming on Spider-Man has been cancelled due to a big storm we (Scotland) are having for a couple days. It’s a bit blowy for filming. Only supposed to last till Wednesday so filming could begin by then or Thursday.
So, that’s everything news worthy from the filming of Spider-Man: Brand New Day this past weekend. What you think of Hulk and Scorpion confirmed? What do you think of the new suit, or the other rumors? Thoughts below.
