I honestly have no idea how Wes Anderson manages to be so darn prolific. It was only about a year and a half ago that we got the animated film Isle of Dogs, and now we’re already looking at details for his next pastel-painted beauty of a movie. The details come courtesy of Searchlight Pictures — you know, the new name for Fox Searchlight — and they include a cast and synopsis.
Starring in The French Dispatch are Anderson vets Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, and Adrien Brody. Joining them are Benicio del Toro, Tilda Swinton, Lea Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, and Stephen Park.

Below is the official synopsis for the flick:
“THE FRENCH DISPATCH brings to life a collection of stories from the final issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French city. It stars Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Lea Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothee Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Bill Murray, and Owen Wilson.”
In addition, we have a new poster that seems indicative of a literary magazine.
The film is set to hit on July 24, 2020! What do you think of the cast, synopsis, and poster? Sound off in the comments down below!
