Last night saw the first full The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer, so what did we learn form this new footage? First of all we should point out there are a ton of differences between this trailer and the non-public trailer that was shown last year. That goes both ways. As much as there were details not shown in this latest trailer they were replaced with news shots we’ve yet to see.
What else can be gleaned from this trailer?
First of we can say for sure that Coruscant is back. At first I wondered if this was just for flashbacks as we see what looks like more from Grogu’s experience during Order 66. However Doctor Pershing was seen on Coruscant also, and he is a current timeline character.
As for Order 66, does this mean we will find out how Grogu survived Order 66? Will we see him rescued by some unknown character? Also, is it possible that Hayden Christensen filmed some more Order 66 scenes for this? He would have had the chance both during Obi-Wan Kenobi and when filming Ahsoka recently. That’s not any kind of rumor just a bit of speculation on my part.
This trailer has almost no Bo-Katan Kryze, whereas the previous trailer had a lot of Bo-Katan, which is curious.
Was that a droid only bar that Dinn entered and they all stopped to look at him? No Humans allowed! I wonder where that story could be going, there were even some B1 Battle Droids it looked like. Was that on Coruscant or some other unnamed planet?

Other than that there were a ton of Mandalorians, which given the little we do know about S3 makes sense. In fact it seemed almost like Dinn was giving them sort of rallying speech. Further confirmation that Dinn is gravitating towards being the leader of Mandalore? Bo-Katan won’t like that, that’s all I’m saying.
First Order tease? ‘Bad things happening out there’? Then a cut to Doctor Pershing on Coruscant, that seems deliberate doesn’t it?
Also, was that a quick peek at Sabine Wren at the very end there? Maybe not, but looked like it to me.
Easter egg wise, did anyone spot what looks like R5, the droid that blew a motivator in the original Star Wars. Given that we are back on Tatooine, can we also assume Boba Fett might make a cameo appearance?
Lots of speculation, but no solid answers yet.
So, what we learned from The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer? A little more of everything we knew, but still very tight on plot details. Anything could happen from here. As always leave your thoughts below, speculations or anything you think important I missed from this new trailer.
