As expected this weekend saw The Wheel of Time Season 3 teaser trailer and release date revealed at CCXP. March was the date we had covered previously through rumors and leaks. Well, The Wheel of Time Season 3 will premiere in March on Amazon Prime. Specifically March 13 will see the first three episodes dropped of the new season. The series will then run weekly and looks set to once again be an eight episode season.
As we had also hoped, a brand new teaser trailer for Season 3 was dropped. Luckily online and not just for patrons, check it out below.
I won’t do a breakdown of the trailer. That would really only be useful for fans of the books that don’t mind spoilers. If you have read the books, you will recognise a lot of what you see in this teaser and be able to place it within the fourth book of the series The Shadow Rising.
I’ll just say that book four was my favourite of the early books by far. I’ll also say that what I see from this trailer pleases me very much. I’m hopeful that those on the fence may fall in love with the series once they check on out Season 3. I do think Season 1 was bordering on poor, but Season 2 really rescued the show for me, thus far.

If book readers are looking for a good breakdown, then check in with the video below. We used a lot of news and leaks from this channel in the lead up to this reveal. But beware SPOILERS right up to book five of the series.
There were comments from showrunner Rafe Judkins and stars Josha Stradowski and Madeline McCann from CCXP. However, having checked them out, they mostly consist of teases about big things coming for characters without getting into any really exciting territory.
My initial thoughts are that the show looks more cinematic with a new aspect ratio. The effects and sets are looking better each season, and the colour palette seems to be getting darker, or more monochrome as we move along. From the pale nothingness of the Waste to some of the dark interiors glimpsed here. Season 3 could be Wheel of Time‘s Empire Strikes Back season if it’s pulled off. Here’s hoping.
I’ll also announce that our GenreVerse podcast show, The Dragon Reviewed will return in March. Given that we have three episodes to watch before we record, I won’t give an exact date. However myself, the book fan, will be back with my accepted Aes Sedai, Kyle and Christine Malone, who are show only watchers for Season 3. Feel free to check out what we thought of one of the Season 2 episodes Here. If you like this format, please check us out weekly from March on GenreVerse.
What do you think as The Wheel of Time Season 3 teaser trailer and release date are revealed finally? As always, leave any thoughts below.
