The Wheel of Time Season finale promo teases battles to come. The Wheel of Time episode 8 releases this Thursday/Friday depending on your time zone and is the finale for this opening season of the show. With that in mind, if you want to wait a few days and go in completely fresh, then maybe skip this one? This is merely a teaser, however it has already confirmed one piece of speculation I had in the most recent episode of our The Dragon Reviewed show.

If you kept scrolling and didn’t watch, what did you think I was going to discuss below the trailer, off with you. For those that did watch, I’d say so far we only seeing one of two stories being told in this week’s finale. Clearly, as I predicted, a battle is coming to Fal Dara. Despite being a book reader, I say predicted because things didn’t play out this way in the books. The whole Scooby Gang went to the Eye of the World. In the show, it’s just Moiraine and Rand that have gone.

This teaser shows us nothing of what Moiraine and Rand are up to, instead focusing on those who remained behind. In eager to see a proper battle as so far we have only seen the Trollocs and Fades against farmers and those vastly outnumbered. Fal Dara is a fortress and the denizens are battle hardened soldiers with experience. There’s no running away from this one I fear. However I must admit I am even more interested in Rand’s story at the Eye. That part of the story will I think remain fairly true to the books so no spoilers here.
