Wheel Of Time Showrunner Teases Forsaken Hiding In Plain Sight In Season 3

According the latest Wheel of Time show Barside Buzz, Season 3 will merge two powerful weapons from the books.

The Wheel of Time showrunner Rafe Judkins teases Forsaken hiding in plain sight in Season 3. Judkins in a recent con appearance covered by EW talked about what fans could expect from some of the new Forsaken in Season 3. So far only three of the Forsaken have been introduced on the show, and one of them was just killed. However, before Ishamael’s death he released all the other Forsaken from their seals. Thus far, all we have met is Moghedien, but there are at least another 4 out there we haven’t met in the show.

“Once they’re all out, you get two really fun things,” Judkins tells EW. “One, each of these characters is an immortal person of incredible power that has three thousand years of history behind them. Hopefully that scene with Moghedien is a real signal to the audience that you may love Ishamael and Lanfear, but also each of these people is totally unique and crazy in their own way.”

‘Judkins reveals fans will also get to see the “fun, ‘who’s a Cylon’ storyline” when episodes return. “Are there any Forsaken hiding in our world that we’re meeting in season 3? In the books, each of them appears in their own way that’s unique to that Forsaken. And so it’s a really fun thing to unravel in the show because they’re almost like representatives of these different versions of evil. Moghedien’s fun because she is not driven by love in the way that Lanfear and Ishamael are, and she is a much more dangerous character because of that.”‘

Now, if the show follows the books closely, then I could make a guess as to which of these characters may be hiding in plain sight. However, that’s a bit too spoilery for those watching the show fresh, so I won’t get into that. There is also the possibility the stories of these Forsaken’s introduction is a little different in the show to confuse book fans. I guess we will have to wait and see.

As Judkins says, the Forsaken all have their own reasons for siding with the Dark One. So far Ishy and Lanfear have flown pretty close to the book motivations so I doubt too much will be changed with the other Forsaken.
