Which Brings Me to You | Director Peter Hutchings Adapting Romance Book to Screen

Which Brings Me to You

Which Brings Me to You is a different kind of romantic film. Or rather, it’s more like romantic therapy for two people who have just met.

Based on the novel of the same title by Julianna Baggott and Steve Almond, director Peter Hutchings had an interesting approach to bringing this book to the screen by retelling breakup and romance tales through flashbacks and breaking the fourth wall.

The film stars Lucy Hale (Truth or Dare, Scream 4) and Nat Wolff (Paper Towns, The Fault in Our Stars). The rest of the cast includes Britne Oldford (Dead Ringers, The Umbrella Academy), Genevieve Angelson (The Upside, Top Five), Alexander Hodge (Insecure, Joy Ride), and John Gallagher, Jr. (10 Cloverfield Lane, Short Term 12).

Keith Bunin wrote the screenplay.

Here is the full synopsis:

Two romantic burnouts, Jane and Will, are immediately drawn to each other at a mutual friend’s wedding. After a disastrous hookup in the coatroom, the two spend the next 24 hours together, trading candid confessions of messy histories and heartbreak, on the off chance that this fling might be the real thing.
