Every year, studios line up to throw tons of money to air ads during the Super Bowl. The football spectacle produces gigantic ratings, which means a ton of exposure for anything that airs during it. As of a couple of weeks ago, only Jurassic World had been announced as getting a spot on the telecast, but with the big game mere days away we now have a better idea of what films will be vying for your attention.
The most intriguing one at this point is Disney’s Tomorrowland, since we’ve seennext to nothing from that production yet. It stars Academy Award winner George Clooney, in his first blockbuster tentpole since 2007’s Ocean’s Thirteen. It’s also being directed by fan-favorite Brad Bird, who’s films have all been well-received. We’re talking about a resumé that includes The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, and Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol. So this will be a big chance for Disney to make a strong first-impression for Tomorrowland.
Also getting the Super Bowl Ad treatment are Paramount’s Terminator: Genisys (which you can see a teaser of here), Lionsgate’s The Divergent Series: Insurgent (which will air during the pre-game show), and Twentieth Century Fox’s Kingsman: The Secret Service (also during the pre-game).
