It seems we have some new rumors around who will direct the Ms Marvel Disney+ series. Ms. Marvel is definitely a go for Marvel and according to rumors the casting of Kamala Khan could be imminent. Ms. Brisha K. Ali is on board the series as a writer and showrunner.

Previously a report from DisInsider had indicated that Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Captain Marvel) could be on directing duties. This weekend saw a new report from The Direct claiming that Bad Boys For Life directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah would definitely be directing at least one episode of Ms. Marvel. This does make a lot of sense as the directing pair have previously confirmed being in talks with Marvel Studios. It also makes sense to have directors with Muslim heritage having a say in Marvel Studios first Muslim hero in Kamal Khan.

DisInsider ran this story also (source section below) however, they still indicate they believe Fleck and Boden are still directing Ms. Marvel as well. It’s very possible that both directing duo’s could be involved. If you look at The Mandalorian for example there were different directors for each episode. Considering the connections that Ms. Marvel has to Captain Marvel, it would also makes sense for Fleck and Boden to be involved.

Ms. Marvel was not a series that excited me too much when it was first announced. However having played through the character’s origin in the video game Marvel’s Avengers, I am definitely warming to Kamala Khan. There appears to be a lot of young protégés showing up in the MCU, which definitely lends some weight to those rumors of a Young Avengers movie coming eventually.
