No rumor folks, Wilson Bethel returns as Bullseye in Daredevil: Born Again, so does this make the show Daredevil Season 4 after all? One can hope Marvel has finally realised everyone loved Daredevil 1-3? The information was first broken by ComicBook.com, and I would have titled it as a Barside Buzz if had only been that outlet. They really don’t do scoops or rumors, but that means when they do post something they are extremely confident.
It’s all a moot point though as Deadline were not far behind to claim the same. As per the trade:
‘Wilson Bethel, who played Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye on Netflix’s Daredevil, is reprising his role on Disney+‘s upcoming Daredevil: Born Again, sources confirm to Deadline. I hear he is set to appear in three episodes of the series, which is now filming. A rep for Marvel declined comment.’

We know they are keeping six episodes worth of content from what was already filmed. Seemingly they are adding three new episodes to make nine (or that’s the rumor). Ergo, Bullseye appearing in three episodes makes a lot of sense. The main villain of Born Again seems to still be Muse folks, or at least in Part 1. However not having any Bullseye would have been a bit weird if this is supposed to follow on from Daredevil Season 3.
It seems that was not always the case mind. However, all the recent rumors and trade reports point to changes being made to integrate Born Again into Daredevil that came before. That means Born Again should feel more and more like Daredevil Season 4. This fan only sees that as a good decision from Marvel.
Let’s hope Bullseye is a big set up for the plot of Born Again Part 2, which effectively acts as a season 2 of the new show. Fisk, Matt, Karen, Foggy, Bullseye and Frank all back. Sounds like Daredevil Season 4 to me. The excitement from fans shows that Marvel should never have considered not having these shows be canon.
