In case you haven’t heard, Winchester is a little horror film starring Helen Mirren that’s set to hit theaters this coming weekend. It tells the riveting story behind widow Sarah Winchester, and why she kept a mysterious house under construction for so long.
Due to its strange and unplanned architecture, it’s a house that’s been the subject of countless urban myths, as well as ghost stories. As such, it’s the perfect source material for a horror film. However, it looks like there may be some branding confusion, as the official Winchester Twitter account felt the need to share the following:
“No, the brothers do not show up in Winchester. This is a feature-length movie, not a short film and if they teamed up with Sarah the three would wrap things up in minutes. #WinchesterMovie”

For those who don’t know, the “brothers” in question are that of Sam and Dean Winchester, the leads of the never-ending CW series Supernatural. While I’d definitely be on board with a crossover of sorts (after all, the Winchesters are set to have a crossover with Scooby-Doo in the future), I think I’m okay with their non-presence this time around.
But what do you think? Would you have liked to see the Winchesters tackle the Winchester mystery house? Let us know your thoughts down below!
