Many fans were eager for this and now it seems Wonder Man IS getting a Season 2 after all on Disney+. Wonder Man was critically successful but it must have performed well for Disney for them to greenlight Season 2 so soon. You can check my review of Season 1 in the related section below. I wasn’t as in love with it as some critics. However, I did enjoy it and I am happy we are getting Season 2.

‘The adventures of actors trying to make it big in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue.’
‘Marvel Television’s Wonder Man, perhaps the least comic book movie-coded of the superhero factory’s shows, has been renewed for a second season. And the key creative and talent team in front and behind the camera are also set to return.’
‘Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley will return as Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery, the respective super-powered actor and ex-terrorist-thespian around which the show revolved.’
Simon is very clearly a Mutant in the MCU. Therefore, as we move into the upcoming Mutant Saga, which will begin with the X-Men reboot, I can see the DODC coming after Simon again.
I guess we shall see? For now all we know is that Destin Daniel Cretton (Spider-Man: Brand New Day) is returning as an EP and director. Andrew Guest is also returning as showrunner for Season 2 as well.

As to when we might see Wonder Man Season 2? There’s no word in this report and given it sounds like there’s no script, I think we will have a wait. I honestly cannot see us getting Season 2 of Wonder Man before Secret Wars hits theatres in December, 2027. Though I guess that depends how fast they can pull Season 2 together.
