Here’s a Wonder Man review roundup as select press have seen advanced copies. plus the current RT score. For now, it seems like maybe Marvel has made another hit show. Though, the embargo only lifted today, so we will see how the scores average out over a couple of days.

As always, the most important metric is the audience reviews and we won’t have full series reviews of that till the series finale airs. I’ll drop my own, but I’m watching same time as you folks.

At current, with only 30 reviews, Wonder Man has an impressive 97% Fresh score on RT. As always, this can change as more reviews come in. Yet it would be surprising for the positive ones all to publish first and then be followed by a slate of poor reviews. Therefore, for now, it seem the critics like Wonder Man.

Positive Reviews

NME 4/5

By ditching standard tropes for something more character focused, the MCU manages to swerve superhero fatigue with this extremely meta standalone treat.

Collider 9/10

Whether you’re a hardcore MCU fan or have never watched a superhero movie in your life, Wonder Man is one of those rare experiences that appeals to both sides, and it marks a truly phenomenal start for Marvel’s ambitious 2026 slate.

ComicBook 4/5

A pretty provocative exercise in not ticking boxes: without getting too far into spoilers, despite hints that it could all break out into a conventional superhero slug-fest with a big battle climax, Wonder Man thumbs its nose at the very idea.

This is just a small selection, pretty much very review bar the ones below at time of writing is a very positive review.

Less positive but still fresh,

Awards Buzz 6/10

There are glimmers of greatness and promise to be found throughout this show’s first and likely only season, including a standalone flashback episode that’s difficult to shake, but there’s so much more that’s suggested and invited.

Screen Anarchy 3/5

Wonder Man is not bad, by any means, but it remains resolutely average in the action sequences and narrative twists, bolstered by the performances, which are the signature elements that make it rise above what might be expected.

Rotten

Just the one negative review so far at time of writing.

Discussing Film 2/5

Wonder Man tries to switch up the MCU formula by focusing less on action and more on Hollywood satire. But it fails to say anything sincere or funny about the film industry.

So, what do you think of the so far very positive reviews for Wonder Man? Has Marvel made a hit show, or just one the critics like? Thoughts below.
