We’re just a month away from the release of Wonder Woman. After decades of existence on the printed page, the beloved DC character will finally be getting a standalone movie. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 may be getting all the attention now (since the film has just hit overseas, and will be hitting domestic theaters next week), but there’s no forgetting about DC’s poster girl.
Warner Bros released the third TV spot for Wonder Woman, and it shows much of the action-packed footage that we’ve already seen in previous trailers. In addition to that, we also get an extra look at her using her lasso. Given the fact that Marvel Studios currently owns the week, we imagine that the Wonder Woman marketing campaign will go into overdrive starting May 6. Given the number of clips and TV spots we got for Suicide Squad as we neared its release, you can expect to get thoroughly sick of all the footage in a matter of weeks.
Until then, however, we’ll just enjoy the strong trailers and TV spots so far.
Below is the official synopsis for Wonder Woman:
“Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.â€
