Disclaimer: This post contains massive spoilers for Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Spider-Man: Far From Home has come out, and within its runtime, it had plenty of fun twists and turns. Of course, Mysterio didn’t turn out to be quite the Iron Man replacement Peter Parker wanted him to, and that identity reveal at the end is one for the ages. But we’re here today to talk about that end-end-credits scene — that one that has everyone really talking and speculating.
I’m talking about the reveal that Nick Fury wasn’t actually Nick Fury in the flick. In fact, he was none other than Talos, along with his wife portraying Maria Hill. As it turns out, there was a specific piece of marketing that was modified in order to keep that spoiler intact, as one Redditor noted.
The biggest tell in the entire film was hidden in the marketing. from r/marvelstudios

So, to be clear, in the trailer, Fury says “our world,” but in the film itself, he says “your world,” which is a clear bit of foreshadowing to the twist at the end. I personally DID NOT catch that line change, but I did notice Fury’s oddly-incompetent behavior throughout, which alluded to him not being himself exactly.
What did you think of the twist at the end? Did you see it coming? If so, at what point? Let us know your thoughts down below!
