Zack Snyder’s Justice League: How The Fantastic Beasts 3 Crew Helped Remotely Film Scenes With Flash

Zack Snyder’s Justice League found a way around the pandemic that has affected almost every industry around the world. Snyder was in need of new footage of Ezra Miller as Flash. The issue was that Miller was in London filming Fantastic Beasts 3.

Thanks to some of the new fandangled doo-hickeys used by the film industry, and the help of the Fantastic Beasts crew, Snyder was able to get the footage he needed remotely. You can check out what he had to say about the experience while speaking with Beyond the Trailer down below.

“I had to get a pickup shot of Ezra and when we were doing this little bit, and the only way to do it [because] he’s on Fantastic Beasts and that’s in London and we unfortunately weren’t going to travel to London because of the pandemic.”

“And so what we did, we picked him up on Zoom.  I sent drawings to the Fantastic Beasts crew [showing] this is what he has to do, this is where he has to be.  I’m here [in Los Angeles] and he was on his set.  There were three monitors for me so I could see the set, and I could see Ezra, and the camera. And I would say, ‘Move that guy, do this…”

The high-anticipated Zack Snyder’s Justice League is said to only include 4 minutes worth of new footage.  However, it will be the vision Snyder always intended for the film. Snyder received a rare opportunity, a major movie mulligan when he was given the chance to release his cut of the film after he had to leave the set of 2017’s Justice League to tend to a family tragedy.
