Zombieland 2 Gets A Release Date

Any Zombieland fans out there?  Of course! A decade later fans will finally be getting a sequel with major cast members, such as Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin, returning.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a general release date has been set:

“While rumors of the sequel have risen from the dead several times over the years, this time Sony really means it. The film is set to begin production in January and will be released in October 2019, in time for the tenth anniversary of the original movie.”

“The new movie will once again put the focus on comic mayhem, taking the quartet from the White House to the American heartland as they face off against new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first Zombieland, as well as some new human survivors. But, most of all, according to the studio, they have to face the growing pains of their snarky, makeshift family.”

Count me in!  I enjoyed the first Zombieland, but could this sequel fall in to the trap of so many others that have come well after the first, or will it be another success?  I am glad that the core members from the original are returning.  What are your thoughts?  Are you looking forward to Zombieland 2, or will you pass?  Leave your thoughts in the usual spot, and thanks for reading!
