THE FLASH: Production Timeline And Location For DC Film Revealed!

Something I’ll be touching on in today’s LOS FANBOYS Podcast, as part of our SUICIDE SQUAD discussion, is that Rick Famuyiwa’s THE FLASH movie will really be the first film of the Geoff Johns Era of the DCEU. The film, which will find Ezra Miller front-and-center as Barry Allen for the first time, now has a start date and a location.

It would appear that Miller better get comfortable living in London for a while. He’s currently there filming JUSTICE LEAGUE with director Zack Snyder, and it is now being reported that THE FLASH will start filming there as well, starting in January of 2017.

There’s plenty of reasons to be excited about this film, and the fact that Miller is turning his version of Allen into quite a scene stealer in JUSTICE LEAGUE, is a big part of that. The actor has made a strong impression on audiences in smaller films like CITY ISLAND and THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER, thanks to his talent and innate charisma. We’ve only been given small glimpses so far, but it looks like his dynamic with Ben Affleck’s Batman in JUSTICE LEAGUE will be one of the film’s high points.

We’ll see how everything plays out when JUSTICE LEAGUE comes out November 17, 2017 and THE FLASH follows it four months later on March 18, 2018.
