Right now, a lot of us are still riding high on The Defenders, and those who have yet to watch the Netflix original series all the way through probably still have their mind occupied with the goings of the Hand in New York City. Yet, despite The Defenders either still being on your radar, or being just in your rear view mirror, Netflix still has another big Marvel show on the horizon in 2017, and that’s The Punisher.

Frank Castle’s the Punisher made his MCU debut on the Netflix series Daredevil back in early 2016, and the character was such a breakout hit that Marvel opted to go forward with a series of his own. The tail end of Daredevil saw the anti-hero donning a vest with a skull spray-painted on it, and going forward, it made sense that that’s the look we’d continue with that look.

A new photo from Netflix confirms that it generally looks the same, though it’s hard to tell if the vest is exactly the same as it was before.

As you can see, Frank here is sporting some Dark cargo pants and a long-sleeve black shirt. On top of the shirt is a vest of some sort. It’s not clear if it’s bulletproof, but at the very least, it looks like it’ll be holding some of the ammo he’ll be needing to take on the criminal conspiracy that pushes him to kill. Again, this looks very similar to his look at the end of Daredevil, but with his trench coat missing, it’s difficult to tell where the differences lie.

The official synopsis for The Punisher is below:

“After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone.”

The Punisher hits Netflix some time this year.
