Toby Kebbell Joins ‘A Monster Calls’

Transient

Toby Kebbell is quite in-demand as of late. With a major role in Dawn of The Planet of The Apes, and his work as “Dr. Doom” in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, he’s well on his way to becoming a household name. The Hollywood Reporter is now sharing news that the actor is in talks to join A Monster Calls.

The film, which all ready includes the talents of Liam Neeson, Felicity Jones, and Sigourney Weaver, is a dark fantastical tale. It centers on a young boy, coping with bullying and a father that’s never there, who escapes into a fantastical world at night with the help of a monstrous, talking tree outside of his window (voiced by Neeson).

Kebbell would be playing the boy’s father.

Juan Antonio Bayona is directing A Monster Calls, which is based on the book by Patrick Ness.
