Dwayne Johnson announced some pleasing news via his Instagram account yesterday. With Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle becoming Sony’s highest grossing film, ever, it’s no surprise that Johnson revealed that another Jumanji film is currently in the works. Johnson also mentioned a very special arc for Kevin Hart’s character. You can check out the post below:

Sounds good to me as I thoroughly enjoyed Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The film was fun and entertaining and had a great cast. With a good enough story, and the way it was able to capture the spirit of the original film, it’s success comes as no surprise. The nod to Robin Williams character from the original film, Alan Parrish, didn’t hurt either.
I just hope the rest of the cast comes back for the third film as there seemed to be good chemistry between them, especially Johnson, Hart and Jack Black. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle proves that this current age of rebooting franchises, can be a good thing.
Where will the next film take the characters? While it’s far too early to know, I have a feeling that the producers will want to keep the franchise in the video game world, simply because it gives them the most options to work with.
