With so much focus this year on Marvel Studios’ big blockbuster hits like Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War and the soon to be released Ant-Man and The Wasp, it’s been easy to ignore the DC Extended Universe. Especially since they only have one film coming out at the end of this year, Aquaman, starring Jason Mamoa as Arthur Curry.
But with the film not so far in the distant future, we haven’t even seen a teaser trailer. Most recently all we have seen are a couple of still of Aquaman and Mera. The only footage that has been released was shown exclusively at Cinemacon earlier this year. But it looks like a trailer will be dropping soon, as a fan asked director James Wan via Twitter, “Is there a date when we will see the first #Aquaman trailer? I cannon wait for this!”. To which James Wan responded “*whispering* Soooooon….”

We can only speculate how long from now “soon” really is. Rumors had surfaced that Warner Bros. is planning to debut the Aquaman trailer at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. But that is still pretty far off as Comic-Con is not until the end of July. Could we be getting the trailer much sooner than that?

It would be great to finally get a look at the world that Wan is creating for Aquaman especially in Atlantis. Not to mention how excited a lot of fans are to get their first look at Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.
