At a time when female leads were rarely seen as physically imposing characters, Linda Hamilton’s reprisal as Sarah Connor in Terminator 2: Judgement Day went against the grain.
After the events of the first film, Hamilton’s character was driven by this vision of the future, where machines have taken over and her own son is to be humanity’s great leader. Hamilton’s role as this militant figure with a protective love of her son was portrayed beautifully, delving deep into her character’s mindset and having the dedication to push her body through an intense fitness training. Her role as Sarah Connor will forever be regarded as one of the strongest heroines in film history.
It seems the filmmakers of the current production of Terminator (2019) remembered the impact of Hamilton’s portrayal, because it looks like she’s officially onset. On the website TheTerminatorFans.com, a source is stated to have taken snapshots of Hamilton on set with the tag #ShesBack.
