Dwayne Johnson has checked in with a video from the set of his upcoming film, Jungle Cruise, which will be the next Disney film to be based off of one of their theme park attractions. In the video, Johnson gives viewers an interesting bit of trivia, explaining that Walt Disney designed the Jungle Cruise attraction as well as being the captain during its maiden voyage. The video then zooms out from Johnson’s position to reveal a gargantuan set that was built for the film. You can out the video below.

Disney has had huge success with their Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, taking in billions of dollars off the film series. Jungle Cruise will be added to the list of films based off of a Disney theme park ride, including Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror, and Tomorrowland among others. I’ve been on the Jungle Cruise several times, and I will watch most anything if Dwayne Johnson is in it, so I’m in on this.
Starring alongside Johnson in Jungle Cruise will be Emily Blunt and Jesse Plemons, with Paul Giamatti. Jaume Collet-Serra is directing from a screenplay by Glenn Ficarra and Michael Green.
Jungle Cruise is set for an October 2019 release date.
