Tomorrow, the world will be getting their first look at the next Shaft film.

Early this morning, the Twitter account linked to the film released a very quick teaser featuring a few short scenes. In the teaser, Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as John Shaft II, the nephew of Richard Roundtree’s John Shaft. Also featured in the teaser is Jessie T. Usher, who will play John Shaft, Jr., the son of Jackson’s character. Check out the quick teaser below.

Judging by the quick moments and dialogue, this film will follow the same style as it’s predecessors. A blend of smooth attitude, comedic one-liners, and gritty, crime-drama action. IMDb.com breaks down the synopsis for the film as follows:

John Shaft Jr., a cyber security expert with a degree from MIT, enlists his father’s help to uncover the truth behind his best friend’s untimely death.

With the release of Shaft set for the summer, 2019 is turning out to be a big year for Jackson. It kicked off with the release of Glass in January, soon to be followed by his co-starring role as Nick Fury in both Captain Marvel in March and Spider-Man: Far From Home in July. Included in that universe is the potential of his Fury character appearing in Avengers: Endgame, due out in late April. Moreover, Incredibles 2, which features Jackson voicing the character Lucius Best/Frozone, has been nominated for Best Animated Feature at this year’s Academy Awards.

Shaft is currently set for release on June 14th.
