Weeks ago, Hulu and Netflix subscribers were treated to separate documentaries surrounding the events of the Fyre Festival. If you somehow haven’t heard, Fyre Festival was the infamous music festival meant to give their customers the celebrity treatment. They’d head to a deserted island supposedly once owned by Pablo Escobar and indulge in the celebrity lifestyle for the duration of the festival.
Of course, that’s not what ended up happening. Instead, customers were treated to limited food and water, FEMA tents, unforgiving weather, and a complete absence of any musical performances. If you’re interested in learning more, our own Nick Doll wrote up an extensive piece discusses the biases in both documentaries, but it’s clear that this is something that has gained notoriety in the pop culture zeitgeist, and it was only a matter of time until some clever editors had their way with it.

Now, the folks over at Nerdist have done just that, mashing up the Fyre Fraud documentary with a film classic, Jurassic Park. In the new trailer, we are given the ultimate question of what would happen if Hammond was similarly deceiving his investors and fans about what would go down on the island. The result is pure genius and makes me wanna check out the documentaries all over again.
