With the opening for Galaxy’s Edge only a few weeks out for those on the west coast, it’s easy to forget that Universal is cooking up their own bit of fun from the Potterverse. Most of you have probably at least heard that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando is releasing an attaction that is sure to leave you spellbound, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
The ride will see Hagrid take guests on a trip showing them all manner of fantastic beasts and magical creatures. The attraction will also feature the park’s most realistic animatronic character to date, which is Hagrid of course. Check out the video above and realize Westworld is upon us, well, I mean, they have the outside down pretty good anyway.

Looks amazing, and while we haven’t seen it in motion it appears to be on par with the Hondo Ohnaka character from the Disney parks’ Galaxy’s Edge as far as realism. It seems there is a lot of cool nerd type stuff in Florida, I may just have to make a trip.
An official press release discussing the animatronic Hagrid follows below.
“Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and Hagrid’s animated figure are being brought to life by Universal Creative, the team responsible for creating Universal’s iconic rides and attractions. The team spent thousands of hours creating Hagrid’s animated figure with a level of detail that has never been done before, working alongside actor Robbie Coltrane – who portrays Hagrid in the Harry Potter film series – to develop the most advanced and realistic animated figure of its kind.”
