The Bond franchise is truly one of a kind. The character has spanned 67 years when Ian Fleming brought the prestigious character to life. The franchise can boast being the longest continually running film series of all time! It is not only the iconic 25th film in the franchise, but it also marks the last film for Daniel Craig, who has been one of my favorite Bond’s.
Fleming wrote a majority of his early Bond stories in Jamaica, which is also where the first film, Dr. No, was also filmed. Fittingly, Bond 25 returns to Jamaica for a majority of its filming as well.
The official James Bond account on Twitter released the first image for the upcoming film, which you can check out below:
007 star Daniel Craig, director Cary Fukunaga and the #Bond25 crew were out in the sunshine today shooting across a number of London locations, including Whitehall, where Daniel filmed a scene with a classic @astonmartin V8, first seen in a Bond film in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS. pic.twitter.com/rhs13nNeyW

Clearly, Daniel Craig is still bringing the typical swagger associated with Bond in this new image. Also pictured is the Aston Martin V8 (what a cheap ride) which the description says was seen in the film The Living Daylights with Timothy Dalton taking the lead in 1987 (which can be seen below).

I always enjoy the little Easter Eggs bond films throw in at times to pay homage to previous films. What do you think of the first official image? Are you excited for Daniel Craig’s last installment in the franchise? Who do you think should take over the mantle of 007? Leave your thoughts in the usual spot, and thanks for reading!
Bond 25 hits theaters April 8, 2020.
