Some most excellent news comes out way today as shooting is now underway on the long-awaited and long gestatingthird installment into the Bill and Ted franchise which is titled Bill and Ted Face the Music. As I’ve mentioned in other articles, I didn’t think this would ever actually happen but am very excited for it.
We learned earlier this week that original cast members Amy Stoch and Hal Landon Jr., will return to reprise their roles and will be back as Captain Jonathan Logan, and Amy Stoch will be back as Bill’s step-mom, Missy. Bill and Ted are back folks, and fans of the franchise such as myself couldn’t have asked for a better way to bring it back, no reboot, no recasting, just Bill and Ted as middle-aged men still trying to write that world-uniting song
An official synopsis for Bill and Ted Face the Music follows below.
“Following 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the stakes are higher than ever for William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Reeves). Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.”
