There have been plenty of rumors surrounding Matt Reeves’ upcoming The Batman film. Multiple sources have been saying for some time that we will be getting a veritable smorgasbord of characters in the DC film, and of those is none other than the sometimes-good, sometimes-bad slash sometimes-a-love-interest Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman. There have been other rumors surrounding the actress to take on the role, but the latest comes from The Geeks Worldwide.

According to them, Vanessa Kirby, who recently starred in Mission: Impossible – Fallout and is set to star alongside Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in Hobbs & Shaw, is a contender to take on the role. If she locks down the role, she will be joining Robert Pattinson, who is playing Bruce Wayne.

There are no other concrete details surrounding the project, but it does seem like, after many years, The Batman is actually gaining some real steam. Who knows? Maybe it’ll even get in front of cameras within the next year or so. Wouldn’t that be something?
