There must be something in the water. This week has given us a bevy of announcements regarding fantasy streaming projects. More specifically, we’ve been getting a lot of news surrounding second seasons of these fantasy shows — series like The Witcher, Carnival Row, and now The Wheel of Time.
The latter show was in production when last we heard, but it looks like they’re pulling double duty in that they also have a group of writers hopping into a writer’s room to tackle another ambitious season of fantasy content. Check out the announcement from showrunner Rafe Judkins.

Yes, it does indeed look like they’ll be needing more whiteboards, but there isn’t a lot to share here, really. It’s just your average ordinary production room, complete with plain, boring white walls — further evidence of how much money gets thrown straight onto the screen.
