Some casting decisions for Superman: Legacy have been made says director James Gunn. There have been a lot of rumors that casting was taking place. Gunn himself then informed they were beginning the process of casting the movie. A fan asked the DC boss, and writer and director of Superman: Legacy earlier today if he could say if they’ve chosen anyone from the process yet? Gunn went on to confirm that they have indeed, and he is very pleased.
Yes we have some incredible choices. I’m incredibly excited, and relieved.

There’s nothing to say that Gunn already knows who his new Superman is yet. The roles cast so far me be not the lead. However, I’m betting even if not signed yet, Gunn has an idea of who his new Man of Steel will be in the DCU. I also guess that because this contract will also cover voice work for animation, and TV appearances that contracts will take a bit of time to get right.
For now there is no telling when we may get official word. However, with Gunn involved I’m sure he will debunk any online claims which are false. Ergo, when he doesn’t, that’s the one to hang your hat on and expect an imminent announcement. That’s if the trades don’t get hold of the information first.
