This weekend saw WB/D launch a Max 2025 preview sizzle reel including footage of Dune: Prophecy, Creature Commandos, Peacemaker S2 and more. A sizeable amount more if you check the footage out for yourself below.
The new series of White Lotus, Hacks and The Last of Us are featured. We also have Welcome to Derry, the IT prequel and the new season of The Righteous Gemstones. Plus, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is the latest prequel to Game of Thrones. There’s also some brand new shows on there which look interesting to me as well, though I know nothing about them yet beyond what you see here.
Overall it looks like a good year for HBO/Max.

I guess there are some shows here which are big enough to excite fans worldwide. For a start the DCU kicks off initially with animated show Creature Commandos, then we get Peacemaker S2 which will be followed quickly by Superman in movie theatres. The Last of Us was huge and so expect a lot of interest around that second season when it hits.
Dune: Prophecy is already getting positive reviews and I’ve heard it labelled as Game of Thrones in space already.
There wasn’t enough footage of any one of these shows to get into the weeds on them, or make judgements. However, it does leave me hopeful for another good year of quality TV. In addition of course to projects from other studios and streamers. The ones I’m most excited for here are, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, because I’m just a sucker for that Universe and Peacemaker S2. I really enjoyed Peacemaker S1. I think it may be my favourite James Gunn project to date. So yeah, I’m excited for Season 2.
